thanks, ongoing thanks for your postings..always interesting and most are familiar artists with recordings i have not heard before..are the recordings from your own collection? i was fortunate to hear this artist at Harvard University's Paine Hall some years ago when there used to be a concert series of hindustani music every year...thanks again for all your work
hi, glad you enjoy the blog. some of the recordings are from my own collection of indian classical music. (ram narayan post is my LP that i digitized recently). some recordings are taken from various forums and other mp3 sharing communities on the web.
you were lucky to hear ram narayan play live. i wish i could someday....
Thanks for posting this. I haven't heard panditji play these raags. I have the fortune of studying sarangi with panditji's daughter, Aruna Narayan, who style is very similar. Thanks again, chandan narayan
FANTASTIC, thank you for this!!! I had a cassette of this from about 30 years ago, but LOST it. Have played this in my head, hundreds of times since - have longed to find it again. Thanks to you, I just did!
